Green Landing

Can't pass up an opportunity to photograph dragonflies. These bright green ones, however, never stay still very long. This one was content to be way up at the top of the Laurel tree. "On top of the world" I guess.

"Clouds of insects danced and buzzed in the golden autumn light,
and the air was full of the piping of the song-birds.
Long, glinting dragonflies shot across the path,
or hung tremulous with gauzy wings and gleaming bodies."
~Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
