Just Enjoy The View

May your trails be crooked, winding,
lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most
amazing view. May your mountains rise
into and above the clouds. ~Edward Abbey

Sometimes you just have to enjoy the beauty and wonder in everyday things. Maybe it is the way the light dances across the water in the early morning fog, or maybe it is the way the light illuminates the sky peeking out around the trees. Each glimmer sparkles and radiates its own uniqueness. We all glimmer with our own uniqueness. We are different, but beautiful. Take the time to savor the small moments in life.

Your living is determined not so much by
what life brings to you as by the attitude
you bring to life; not so  much by what
happens to you as by the way your mind
looks at what happens. ~Khalil Gibran

Happy Birthday, Shakespeare!

There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune.
Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures. ~William Shakespeare

Life on Earth

Every moment and every event of every man's life
on earth plants something in his soul. ~Thomas Merton

The artist is a receptacle for emotions that
come from all over the place:
from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap
of paper, from a passing shape from a spider's web. ~Pablo Picasso

Greatest Gift

The great gift of Easter is hope -
Christian hope which makes us have that
confidence in God, in His ultimate triumph,
and in His goodness and love, which
nothing can shake. ~Basil Hume

The first thing that stuck in the minds of the disciples was not the empty tomb, but rather the empty grave clothes - undisturbed in form and position. ~Josh McDowell

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may
have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but
be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33

The Art of Nature

The artist is the confidant of nature, flowers
carry on dialogues with him through the
graceful bending of their stems and the
harmoniously tinted nuances of their
blossoms. Every flower has a cordial word
which nature directs towards him. ~Auguste Rodin

Petals, pistils, stamens, leaves, and stems...intricate parts of a whole. The creation of five petals or six...symmetry and beauty in nature abounds. Vibrant hues and intoxicating fragrances cannot deny the artistic eye that created it. Each vein of color dazzles in the sunlight. The art of nature is astounding in its beauty, strength, and resilience.

The purpose of art is washing the dust
of daily life off our souls. ~Pablo Picasso

Live Life With Passion

There is no passion to be found playing small
- in settling for a life that is less than the
one you are capable of living. ~Nelson Mandela

Passion rebuilds the world for the youth. It makes all things alive and significant. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Spring Spirit

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
~Percy Bysshe Shelley

And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.
~William Shakespeare
