Trumpet Vine Blooms

Love these blooms. They are so vibrant and beautiful swaying in the breeze. I had a chance to get out late in the evening before dark yesterday. It is about the only bearable time outside except for the attack of the mosquitoes.

Wasps, spiders, and flies...oh my!

Ah...bugs. Insects and arachnids are really magnificent little things. Maybe I should have been an entomologist. The garden is just full of life.

Summer Heat

Can it get any hotter outside? The temperature is deterring my daily hikes. But I have a few little blooms from  across the way that were bright and cheery. Still a few wildflowers blooming.

Feeding Frenzy

These purple flowers in my front yard are an apartment complex, restaurant, and shopping mall for everything small, creepy and crawly. This little nymph (Scudder's Bush Katydid) was having a feast.

Paying Attention

Sometimes nature gives us surprises. Lives of these little creatures are so tiny that we might overlook them. But if you stop for a moment and just pay attention to all the obscure life, then an amazing world will open up before your eyes.

A Little More Patience Perhaps

This little guy would not stay put in one place very long. But I had to try and capture the beautiful, bright green color. 

After many attempts I shot a couple of images while he was perched on the blade of grass. Of course he buzzed me about 20 times before he settled down for a second. So...I'll jump back to last week's lesson on patience. "Have patience with all things..." no matter how big or small.

What I Found in the Purple Flowers

Well, I usually go outside, but the weather has other ideas. A lovely thunderstorm has just rolled in and cut my daily hike out. But yesterday I found another butterfly that likes the purple flowers in the butterfly garden.

Sunshine and Sunflowers

Oh look...it's Monday again. I have been out and about. Nature always has something to photograph. I was in a yellow mood today; so it is sunshine and sunflowers.

Summer

It's Friday! It's hot! Summer is bearing down on us, and it is only mid June. Can't wait to see what August will be like. The new project is started, but a long way to go. Began editing through a few shots last night. Not done, and I will be shooting more later. But for now some more pictures from my morning walk.

How Joy Finds Us

These caught my eye. They were growing on a fence near the lake. Just thought they were unusual because of the two different color blooms.

Patience & Perseverance

Whew! Last project finished and on to a new one. Spent the morning wandering along the lake. You never know what you'll find. Already nice and warm out, but I enjoyed the time outside.

Patience With All Things

Happy Monday...well it's Monday anyway. Taking some time to finish some projects that needed to be done. The temperature outside is going to be another scorcher today. Lots of sunscreen to apply.

Getting Started

Welcome. Decided to have a go at this. I am going to try and post a picture of the day, and we will see how it goes for now. The summer is just getting started...
